OK, we all know that the Buell shocks aren’t that good, and that sooner or later the seals will go the distance. So what do you replace it with? Now you more choice than just the stock one or the Hyperpro.
The Penske 8900 series are a superb range of fully adjustable and fully rebuildable rear shocks, as used by lots of Buell race teams
worldwide. All have adjustable ride height and stepless preload as standard. The 8981 2 way adjustable (compression/rebound) shock is ideal for road and club competition use, or alternatively there is the 8987 3 way adjustable (high/low speed compression and rebound) for serious track day addicts and racers (please contact us for price on this model).

Please note that road shocks have steel bodies and the shock body is finished in silver. Race shocks (as pictured) are anodised aluminium and are finished in black.

Standard springs are black, although the blue Hypercoil spring (as pictured) is available as an extra cost option.
