The motoscope classic from motogadget features multifunctional digital instruments in round aluminium casings in a classic sporty style. An attractive dial face and a red needle lend a classic analogue look to the instrument's rev. counter, which is powered by a precision stepper motor. The motoscope light also features an additional LC display and four control LEDs which provide highly precise readouts of the instrument's manifold functions.
DOur flat and compact single instrument thus offers new and unique possibilities for customizing and designing vehicles. The instrument's perfect design and functions are therefore eminently suited to all original touring and sport bikes, as well as to genuine classics, semi-classics and custom bikes of all kinds.
Furthermore, the motoscope classic also fits perfectly to individually styled kit cars, sports cars, quads and trikes. High-quality materials and the most modern manufacturing methods in combination with final assembly by hand and quality control of every single item guarantee superb visual and function-related quality.
The Casing
The billet aluminium casing is CNC-milled and therefore of the highest quality. The brushed surface is anodised with either a black or natural silver aluminium finish. The casing is completely sealed. The protective cover of the instrument is made of a special, scratch-resistant synthetic material. The flat shape of the motoscope classic makes it more flexible in regard to its installation in an already existing cockpit or to the design of such a cockpit. The standard 80 mm (3.1 inch) installation dimensions of the device allow for easy replacement of original instruments.

The Analogue Display with Needle and the LC Display
Engine speed is indicated precisely by a fine, red metal needle mounted on a white dial face with a range of either 0-8.000 rpm or 0-10.000 rpm . An innovative form of background lighting means that a maximum area of the clock face provides clearly readable information in a very compact casing.
Freely adjustable transmission rates of the stepper motor in combination with needle damping make it possible to read the engine speed indication accurately.
The two-line LC display has a permanent background lighting and provides a high-level readability both by day and by night.

Four ultra-bright control LEDs of different colours complete the instrument. The red LED functions as a general warning lamp when threshold values, defined by the user, are reached. Such threshold values may involve engine speed limits, temperature-min./max.-values, pressure-min./max.-values, or signals provided by OEM sensors.

Operation
By pressing a menu button on the handlebar - which can, for example, be converted from the originally installed head-lamp-flash-switch - it is possible to alternate between the different LCD functions. The first line of the display always indicates the driving speed. All other readouts can be called up on the second line of the display by pressing the menu button. The menu button is also used for entering all specific vehicle data into the device's computer. Naturally, all adjustments or values remain stored when the power supply is off.

Installation and Connection
Generally, the motoscope classic can be connected to every vehicle due to its small dimensions and common installation diameter. In order to make the installation easier, we offer different mounting brackets and assembly accessories as an option. A detailed assembly and instruction manual (English) is included.

Sensors and Connecting Cables
Delivery includes the system plugs for all interconnecting electrical cables as well as an approved high-quality inductive proximity switch for speed measurement.

The proximity switch is directed towards rotating metal targets (i.e. brake disk screws) that makes it far superior to other measurement devices that use rotating magnets for impulse triggering. Only this type of sensor provides correct acceleration measurements and a calculated gear position indication. The sensor is small (M8/22 mm) and made of stainless steel and complies with the highest industry standards (IP68). An approximately 2 m long connecting cable makes it possible to attach it to the front or rear wheel.
The signal cable for engine speed measurement is simply attached to the ignition coil or igniting box.

Furthermore, we offer sensors suited to the optional measurement of air, oil and water temperature as well as oil pressure (contact us for details of these).

Versions (software, colour, scale, ignition)
The instruments are available in anodised black, natural aluminium (silver) with engine speed scales of either 10,000 rpm or 14,000 rpm. Different anodizing and scales have no effect on the price.
